SPA Day + Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub Review!!!

Once a week I unwind by having a 'SPA Day' in the comforts of my own home. Basically I read a good book and treat my hair, my body and my feet with some of my favorite beauty products.

Last Thursday I was in the middle of reading Just One Year by Gayle Forman. While reading I had my head in a shower cap because I just did a DIY hair treatment using Shine Moist Keratin Treatment. I also soaked my feet in Foot Treats Moisturizing Foot Soak in Grape seed. After soaking my tired feet for a good ten minutes I gently washed them then put some of Watson's Foot Ease Moisturizing Foot Lotion in Mint.

What it claims:

Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub is a beauty treatment which originated from the royal palaces of Java, Indonesia and inspired by a ritual called lulur. Lulur was originally intended for the bride-to-be in order to beautify, smoothen and whiten
her skin before the wedding day.

The Benefits of Asian Secrets Lulur Indonesian Whitening Body Scrub
  • Lulur beads gently exfoliate and remove dead skin cells to smoothen and give it a radiant glow.
  • Frequent usage reduces skin pigmentation and evens out skin tone by getting rid of dark patches, especially in areas prone to darkening like the elbows, knees, armpits, and the area between the thighs.
  • Contains Seaweed Extract and Vitamin E to help protect the skin and keep it healthy.
  • It also moisturizes and leaves skin with  light fragrant scent.
Directions:

Scrub all over your skin especially the dark areas while it is dry to remove impurities, dead skin and dirt. Rinse with water.

Verdict:

This isn't the first variant that  I tried. I bought the Green Tea and Vitamin E variant and ended up liking it so I decided to try the Seaweed Extract and Vitamin E variant. I have to say that I like the one with Green Tea more because of it's scent. It smells so good! It has a few floral notes in it which I happen to really like. Either way this is by far the best body scrub that I have ever tried! It goes on like cream on your body and isn't too thick or runny. It really does a good job of exfoliating and removing dead skin! I don't really notice if it whitens my skin since I already have fair skin. What I love about this product is the feeling of washing the scrub off my body. My skin not only feels soft but also smooth! I actually disregard the instructions and apply this scrub on wet skin and it works fine on me. It's just a matter of your personal preference.

I also have the Licorice and Mulberry Leaf Extract variant of this body scrub and I'm dying to try it!

Running Errands

Originally, I wasn't supposed to share this outfit with you guys only because I find it too simple. But I went ahead anyway since this is perfect for the summer weather.

[top: Gifted | shorts: Oxygen | shoes: Solemates]

My grandfather asked me to run some errands that day and since it was hot I decided to wear a tank top and shorts since it was so hot! The top was a gift from one of my aunts while the shorts was a treat from my mum. I actually got the shoes during a buy one take one promo or something like that from SM. The top adds a pop of color to my outfit since both my high waisted shorts and flats are navy blue.

Blue Magic Pouch

I have been on the look out for a bigger make-up kit since my old one has sadly become too small to hold all my things together. I found the perfect one in Blue Magic! It looks like this.

I got this pouch for only a hundred seventy nine pesos! Isn't it a steal? I love the color combination. The design is simple yet pleasing to the eyes. The pouch itself is pretty roomy as well! So go ahead and check out what Blue Magic has to offer!

Such a Sucker for Cute Socks

Ever since stepping into college life, I became quite fond of cute socks. Recently I started attending Zumba classes at Dance Station so I added a few more pairs to my collection.

The first two socks I bought from CNA, a Korean accessory store. This is what it looks like on my feet.

And in rubber shoes!

I'm hoping to collect more soon!

Mum's Birthday Celebration at Mesa Restaurant

Last March 5 my family and I went to Mesa Restaurant to celebrate my mother's birthday. Before we dined on delicious food, mum insisted on taking a couple of pictures.

As you can see we were all happy to spend some quality time with each other especially the birthday celebrant.

On to the mouth watering dishes they served us...

Tawilis with Mango and Bagoong, Baked Tahong with Cheese, Green Mango Shake, Fresh Dalandan Juice and Grape Shake

 Baby Squids in Olive Oil

 Bam-I

Chicken BBQ with Honey & Patis

Sinigang na Baboy sa Bayabas at Pina

Everything was so scrumptious! Their appettizers, various viands and fruit drinks were bursting with flavor! I can say that we will definitely come back for more!

For dessert, we surprised mum with a chocolate flavored cake from Red Ribbon

Of course, this post won't end without an OOTD shot so here's what I wore during that night.
