Ripe Rhipes

Hello, loves!

It's been a while since I posted, hasn't it? I've been completely swamped by schoolwork because like the other members of SMACK, I've started college! And it's been quite a whirlwind of a first term (yes, my first term is finished alkfn).

Anyway, onto my post.

I've met some interesting people in my university, and the girl I'll be blogging about is one of the friends I've made!

[outfits c/o Rhipes Backyard]

This is my gorgeous friend, Ira!

She's closely affiliated with the person who owns Rhipes Backyard (which has truly wonderful pieces being sold, by the way), and since I like Rhipes too, I'm kind of advertising it here. Haha!

Anyway, that's the down low for now; in a week mine, Aly and KC's favorite band (THE WANTED!) are coming here to the Philippines and we'll be sure to document to our outfits!

Peace out!

Mani Pedis With My BFF

As you all know being in college is hectic. There is a lot of freedom compared to when I was in high school but it is more difficult to find time to bond with my friends. Yesterday Carren went to my house to come celebrate my father's birthday with my family&I. We also bonded over mani pedis at a near by salon. All in all we had an amazing day together. We badly needed to get pampered and to spoil ourselves even just a little. After all we don't want the stress of schooling to show on our faces. If you girls are wondering how much their service costs it's only P150 for both the manicure and the pedicure which is pretty affordable to me.

Manicure and Pedicure : Salon de Jo(formerly known as Edna's Salon)
On Carren : Black base with Bright Orange French Tips
On Aly : Creamy Light Pink and Creamy Light Blue

First Day Jitters and Fluffy Slippers

Vas Happenin' my little fashionistas? I know that I don't regularly update the blog 'cause I'm busy with college and so are my friends/co-bloggers. Last June 14 was the start of a new chapter in my life. It was the first day of college. To stave off the nerves my mum and I decided to do a little shopping and my my,look what I found in a little shop called Smooch in Ali Mall. A pair of adorable bedroom slippers in the color green with this cute red&yellow flower to top it all off. It doesn't hurt that it only costs P150!

Beach Photo Shoot

This is a super late post of our beach photo shoot during my birthday. I was kind of stressed out on the way to the beach because it was raining. But if you want a more dramatic effect on your photos, try going there when the weather is cloudy and so on. There's no sun but it was really windy and so we really enjoyed our stay!

Last summer, you would notice that the sheer tops and uneven skirts were really trending. We found some skirts that can be bought at affordable prices, compared to the skirts sold at F21, which is too expensive.
Left skirt: Centris Station | Middle skirt: Cocco | Right skirt: SM department store

The prices of the skirts ranges from P300-500

I just had to have a solo pic, in this pose :)))

With my cousins:

 Swimsuit: Jelly Bean

And as an advertisement, please visit Canyon Cove at Nasugbu, Batangas! You'll really enjoy yourselves there!

That's it for me!

Possible Repeat Offender

Okay, the title is a lie. I am not a possible repeat offender, I am a repeat offender. Yes, shameless, I know [sigh]. I have blogged this outfit before but with a blazer and different shoes. I find that there is no harm in wearing the same thing just as long as there is something different to it. In my previous outfit post of this outfit, I had a blazer on, different shoes and absolutely zero accessories. So there you go, my justification as to why I reblogged an old look. Also, because I can. Forgive the haggard face and the not so great photos, I had to take these alone in a very hot room okay? My mini tripod is probably my best friend when it comes to outfit shots. Why? Okay, confession time. My family does not know about this blog or any of my attempts to join the fashion  and blogger world. I still can't seem to cross that awkward bridge in telling them about it. I don't know why, probably because I am a chicken. So, I end up having to take my own outfit shots in a "secret" location. So now you know.

Here's a closer look at the smaller necklace around my neck. It reminds me of a mocking jay from the Hunger Games. I got this from Aeropostale, I think.

Since you have seen this outfit before I thought I should just post a few pictures. Forgive my lack of editing skills, I try to make up for my lame quality photos with edited ones. I am trying something new with the labeling. I am not yet sure if I like it and would continue or just go back to the old way and just list everything down. We will just have to see.

Bangkok Photodiary

Hey lovelies! I went on vacation to Bangkok a few days ago and I just wanted to show you guys what I did with my family. Did very little shopping but a lot of walking. One escapade led to another and at the end of the day our feet were aching so badly we didn't want to move. I had a lot of fun absorbing the new culture and trying out new things. I ate good food, saw beautiful sights and experienced a whole new culture.

4. the roads of Bangkok filled with colorful taxis

9. visited Madame Tussaud's wax museum

On Trend: Stacked Bracelets

So lately I have been noticing a trend that is going on recently and it's stacking or piling on bracelets. Honestly, I fell in love with the trend instantly! I have been stacking bracelets for awhile now but now that it's trending I find more reason to do it and I also find a lot of inspiration going on. I am a girl who just loves accessories and I truly believe that it can make or break an outfit. I am the type of girl who just can't leave the house without at least simple accessories. I find that accessorizing a simple outfit can make it more unique and chic. Something as simple as stacking bracelets can add more character to an outfit. So, it's not too late to hop on the bandwagon and try it out for yourself. Here are some photos I have been pulling out inspiration from:

Manila > Beijing > LA!

Well, hello there, lovelies!

I'm blogging from the States! Hehe. I miss the Philippines already, but, well, I'm having a (so far) okay time here. The adventure starts tomorrow, technically, so we're just chilling here.

Anyway, since we flew over here, I thought of giving you the lowdown for my flight getup.

[blouse: GAP | jeans: Levi's]

[boots: Nicole]

[necklace: gift from Kat!]
Check out the knarly details of my blouse! Hahaha.

So, there you go! These photos were taken at the Beijing Airport--we stayed in there for around two hours before boarding a connecting flight to LA... And I slept through everything.

Also, this is a very simple outfit because I was going for a more comfort feel than anything else. Another thing; I was also wearing a light grey leather jacket for the weather, but I wasn't able to take a photo for that. Sorryyyy.

AND. I have curly hair now! Okay. Haha!

Anyway, I'm off to sleep. Or something. Yeah.

Greetings from LA, everyone!

Babysitting and Running Around In Booties

Ah.It's summer again. How is everybody? Finally found time to post another December outfit of mine.
Better late than never,right?

                                                                        [bag: Nine West]

If you're wondering why the title is kinda weird that's because I was with a bunch of weirdos...joke.Kidding aside I got to babysit my cousin and my dentist's kids which was a lot of fun.I basically ran around the restaurant in my much loved booties. Last December we also celebrated my grandfather's 85th birthday (now, isn't that amazayn?).

Braiding Time!

Hey guys! It's summer and it's really hot here in our country! If you have noticed, braided hairdos are trending. After we watched Hunger Games, I was pretty amazed at how they braided Katniss' hair. And since my sister and I were so bored these first few days of summer, I played with my sister's hair and tried a few braided hairdos.
  French Side Braid
Maria usually fix Aly's long hair like this when we're at school.

 Waterfall Braid
Honestly, I don't know how to do this, my sister did this on my hair.

 Katnis Brad 1 (a.k.a. KB1)
I saw this hairstyle of Katniss, the difference is that the excess hair wasn't tied in a bun. And it's pretty easy to do!

Katniss Brad 2 (a.k.a KB2)
I think I saw this as one of Katniss' braid too... I'm not really sure, I just call it Katniss braid. Sorry, the picture's resolution is not good, I don't have a camera with me at the time so I used my phone.

So that's it for now! Btw, I've included a link as to how to do the KB1 and Waterfall braid, for those who want to try. The Side french braid is pretty easy if you know how to do the french braid, you just start at the side!
