Snoe Hair Heroes Invisible Wonder Split-end Mender Treatment Oil Review

I know, I know, I'm totally obsessed with Snoe. In my defense though they sell really good products in the market and they're local. Who can say no to that? Well, hello again! I'm back with another review from Snoe's Hair Heroes Line. This time I'm going to talk about the Invisible Wonder Split-end Mender Treatment Oil. Whew! That was a mouthful!

Hair Heroes Invisible Wonder Split-end Mender Treatment Oil
                                                                    1.69 fl. oz /50ml
                                                                           (P 499)

What it claims:

Description

Snoe
Hair Heroes
Invisible Wonder
Split End Mender Treatment Oil
Macadamia Nut & Avocado Oil
Fight for your right for gorgeous hair!
Snoe Hair Heroes Invisible Wonder is a super strength split end mender treatment oil that will moisturize and restore the strength of hair without weighing it down. It gently restores the integrity of hair fibers to make dry and damaged hair look and feel wonderful. This treatment oil smoothens ruffled cuticles and unwinds tangles to prevent breakage.
Directions
Warm a few drops in the palms of your hands and distribute evenly throughout clean, towel-dried hair, concentrating on the ends. Comb through, style and have a gorgeous day!
For best results, use in conjunction with any of your favorite Snoe Hair Heroes conditioners.

Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if signs of irritation occur. Store at room temperature.
Ingredients List
Macadamia Nut Oil- helps prevent hair breakage by penetrating the scalp and hair follicles to improve hair strength and elasticity. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin compounds, it helps eliminate frizz by coating the hair shaft with nourishment.
Avocado Oil- contains high levels of vitamin A, D, and E that will benefit chemically processed& mistreatedhair. It is proven to work at the cellular level to protect and strengthen hair.
Cyclopentaxilosane (and) Dimethiconol, MenthaViridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Isopropyl Myristate
Verdict:

I bought this because I needed a split-end sealer whenever I trim my hair at home. I am quite dismayed that this did not do anything for my split-ends. The Invisible Wonder Split-end Remedy Treatment Oil has a lovely scent though, reminiscent of macadamia nuts and pandan. Although it was not able to mend the ends of my hair it made my locks easier to comb, soft and shiny.

You might be interested to know that I got this for only P399 but when I checked out Snoe's website the price was a hundred pesos higher. This makes a good hair serum specially if you are keen on the scent.

Snoe Hair Heroes Intense Argan 5-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner Review

Since I have been neglecting the blog for a looong time I decided to do another review on Snoe products. Today I am going to talk about their famous Hair Heroes Line. I have been reading a lot about this fast growing local beauty brand in Candy and Cosmopolitan Magazines. Naturally, I was intrigued and wanted to find out more about the products that they offer. I especially wanted to get my hands on one of their Hair Heroes after reading about it in Cosmopolitan. At first I was aiming to get the Amplify variant of their Cleansing Conditioners since that one is specially designed for thinning hair. And no, my hair is not falling out. It's just that I was born with naturally fine hair, which I got from my mother. I was hoping that this could thicken up my locks somehow. When I went to their kiosk in Landmark Trinoma I found myself debating on whether I should buy a bottle of Hair Heroes Cleansing Conditioner in Amplify, Super Fresh, Intense Argan or Extreme. So you see my dilemma here... I asked my Mum for advice and she said that I should try the Intense Argan variant. The sales lady told us that it is their best seller and she also informed us that this is the product Snoe is most famous for. On to the review...

Hair Heroes Intense Argan 5-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner
8.45 fl. oz./ 250ml

Start from the crown working toward the ends, adding small amounts of water to help distribute the product evenly. Using a wide-toothed comb, comb through your hair for up to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
You may also use Snoe Hair Heroes Intense Cleansing Conditioner as anafter-shampoo Conditioner, as a Deep-MoistureHair Mask (leave on for 20 minutes before rinsing out), as a Leave–On Detangler (apply before styling), or a Shaving Cream.

Verdict:

This smells strongly of coconut. I have to admit that at first the scent was a bit overwhelming but gradually I became more accustomed to it. This hair product is a Cleansing Conditioner, Rinse-OutConditioner, Deep-Moisture Hair Mask, Leave-On, Detangler and Shaving Cream all in one bottle! I tried it first as a detangler and a leave-on and sad to say it did not live up to my expectations. Instead of removing the tangles from my hair it actually made my locks a bit uncombable. Next, I tried it as a cleansing conditioner and that by far is it's best purpose. It doesn't create lather but once I washed it out, my mane felt like silk! This is my current go-to shampoo/conditioner whenever I take second baths within the day, usually after Zumba. Plus the fact that it cleanses hair without stripping off the nutrients is a great bonus as well. Lastly I also tried this product as a shaving cream for my underarms and I can say that I was pretty happy with the results. I didn't have any cuts or knicks on my armpits and I was able to shave at ease. I have yet to try Snoe's Hair Heroes Intense Argan as a deep-moisture mask but I will update you guys as soon as I do!

So excited to try out the other variants of Snoe's Hair Heroes Cleansing Conditioners! I have my eyes set on the Amplify one next...

Product Reviews:

Let's start with the sponge that came with the bundle. I was really excited to use this since it looked so soft...but when I tried it out I became very disappointed. IT WAS SO ROUGH!!! Like sandpaper on the skin. :( Although I am glad to say that this is the only item that has a  negative feedback so read on!

Featured Ingredient

Aloe Leaf Juice

The ancient Egyptians dubbed it the “plant of immortality.” It contains a plethora of antioxidant components, including flavonoids, vitamin C, beta carotene and vitamin E that can help improve the skin’s natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated.

Verdict:

The first thing I noticed when I used this was the scent. It smelled so darn good without being too overpowering. The texture of the bath syrup is not runny but not too concentrated as well. Another thing that I observed was that the granules were not rough at all! In fact it did a good job of exfoliating my skin. You can apply this using your hands or a bath sponge/cloth.

Verdict:

This lotion feels smooth and is easily absorbed by the skin. It isn't greasy and does not leave weird marks on the skin. It moisturizes without the sticky feeling. The best part about this lotion is that it has spf 20! I would still highly recommend applying sunscreen/sunblock before heading outside but at least if you put on some of this whipped body frosting you'll have protection from the harmful rays of the sun pronto.

Verdict:

What I like about this cologne is that it contains anti-oxidants. This also has moisturizers in it. The scent is light but delicious. I don't really know what passion fruits smell like but I loved the scent of this body spritz. Great for every day use!

Oh My Wash! Intimate Wash The Beauty Queen

Verdict:

I like how the product has such quirky variants of intimate wash. They have The Girl Next Door, The Supermodel, The Beauty Queen and The Movie Star. I chose this because this is their bestseller. The scent is not too strong and pleasant to the nose. It has a cooling sensation which is a bonus for me since that is what I look for whenever I purchase intimate washes. It cleanses and lathers very well and you only need a small amount every time you wash. The down side is that it has no whitening effect but that just my personal preference.

SIZE Net wt 125 grams / 4.41 fl. oz.

Verdict:
This feels like silk in a bottle! It's super soft and thick which is great for dry skin. What I don't find very appealing though is that it leaves pink streaks on the skin. This can be used as a substitute for lotion/moisturizer.

Verdict:

Truthfully I don't really use body scrubs so this was my first time to try it. This came with a spoon inside to scoop up the product easily. I have to warn you guys that this scrub is really rough. On the bright side it does an excellent job of sloughing off dead skin. My advise is to use this product no more than once a week to exfoliate the skin. Think of it as a special treat on your free day!

Overall I can say that Snoe has made it to my fast growing list of favorite local brands. Their products are very promising and considering that these are locally made, I consider buying from them a great help to our economy. The packaging is really creative and cute. In short, what's not to love? Stay tuned for my review on their Hair Heroes Line!

Summer Capital of the Philippines!

Hi guys, it's me again. I promised you that I would post more often so here you go! :)

Last January 18, me and my blockmates went on a field trip to the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio! It was REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY COLD up there (less than 10 degrees I think?), but the place is beautiful! So much history and leisure in one place. :)

So before I move on to our actual fieldtrip, let me show you our "bahay-bahayan" during our stay in Baguio. We stayed at Le Chateau Transient Home and Accommodation. We were divided into different rooms (named by colors), and our group ended up in the Orange Room. Yeyyy! My favorite color! <3

Orange room!

Each room has 2 bedrooms (w/ one or more bunk beds), a bathroom, comfort room, living room (w/ TV), and dining room (w/ kitchen and fridge). It is completely furnished! All your cooking materials such as pots, pans, even eating utensils are readily available. :)

Moving on, we arrived at around 1 or 2 pm at Baguio City. Contrary to the scorching sun that we people are used to at this time of the day, it was really chilly in Baguio. So immediately after we have alighted from our van and arrived at our first destination, which is the Ili-Likha Cafe owned by Kidlat Tahimik, we started searching for hot chocolate. We were fortunate enough to meet the owner himself. I admit I fangirled a little since I watched one of his independent films for my Comm 2 class. :)

Ili-Likha Cafe :)

The cafe has a certain charm in it. It's not the usual structured, modern cafe that we are all used to. Different works of arts can be seen all over the place. It's visually appealing and adds to the character of the place. If you want to get a taste of Filipino art, this is definitely one of the places you should visit. :)

Reminded me of The Lorax! :))

Finally, after more than 5 (?) hours on the road, HOT CHOCOLATE!!!

Look of triumph! :D

Me and my friends warmed up a bit before heading out to our destinations for the day! I don't have pictures of all the places we visited like Baguio General Hospital and the Baguio Museum. :(

My friend, Bea, enjoying her cup of hot chocolate! :)

We were the last group to leave the place since our van went missing. So we decided to take wacky photos/OOTDs while waiting.

Sarah's OOTD! :)

I'm the jeje of the group so I usually do wacky poses such as this! Haha! :))

Thrifted sweater :)

Our last destination for the day was Maryknoll. More pictures!

Bea's OOTD

Bea and Ching! :)

"F4"

I was really tired the following day because I only slept for about 2 hours so I wasn't as energetic as I was compared to the day before Good thing our first stop for Day 2 in Baguio is in Tam-awan Village. Fortunately for me, there was a cafe in the village so I had another cup of hot chocolate and cheese cake for breakfast!

Sarah and me having cheesecake and hot chocolate at Tam-awan Village Cafe. :)

We left a few minutes after ordering, since we needed to go to our next destination. :(

Strawberries! :D

Yeyyyyy for strawberries! :D

I guess these were the highlights of our trip. It was a great stress reliever for all of us before hell breaks loose again. For those who are planning to visit Baguio, wear layers and layers of clothing. Some of my block mates tried to wear shorts, the outcome was not good (shakes head). :)) We have 2 more fieldtrips coming up, one in Banahaw (I've been there before! :D), and another in Manila (kind of a tour actually), so you'll definitely be hearing from me soon.

Have a great day! :D

Birthday Gifts aka Etude House Sort of Haul :D

Okay, that was one hell of a long title. Hi guys! It's actually my first time posting here. Yeah, I know I'm kind of a lazy blogger, but I'm really busy with school and other stuff so bear with me! :) I'll try my best to post more often, I promise!

Anyway, last January 15, I celebrated my 18th birthday. I was too lazy to plan my own debut or even organize a house party so we just had dinner at Vikings with my family and closest college friends. It was a Wednesday so I wasn't able to invite my high school friends since we have different schedules. :( More on that later. :)

So, as expected, I got really nice gifts from my lovely friends <3. They all know that I absolutely LOVE makeup and clothes, so it was very easy for them to pick out gifts for me. So two of my closest friends, Ching and Geneva, gave me Etude House goodies (Yey!).

I've always wanted to have a BB Cream ever since the BB Cream Rave happened. I actually have one, but it wasn't suitable for my oily skin. Fortunately, my super friend Ching came to my rescue!

Isn't it the cutest??

BTW excuse me for the quality of the photos. I'm not a good photographer (my sister is), but I'm working on it!

Anyway this is the Dear Girls Be Clear BB Cream from Etude House

Pros :

  1. consistency of a BB cream but coverage of a concealer
  2. hides dark circles and pimple marks (no need for concealer <3 )
  3. doesn't make your face shiny (perfect for girls with oily faces like me)
  4. cute packaging!
  5. price (less than 500)
  6. SPF 30
  7. can whiten skin

Cons :

  1. one shade only
  2. difficulty in getting desired amount (I always get too much of what I need :( )
So far, I am loving this product. I highly recommend it to oily girls like me! I only wish they had more shades to fit different skin tones. :(

Another gift I got from my friend is this :

... GINORMOUS bottle of Wonder Pore 7 in 1 Total Pore Solution also from Etude House.

I still haven't tried this yet since I still have lots of pore solution here, but my friend kept on raving about this product so I'm really excited to try this out!

Well, that's all for tonight! I still have to memorize muscles for our study on cadavers tomorrow! Yes, cadavers. Huhu. Wish me luck! :) Thanks for your time! :D

- Carren

P.S. I'll try not to make blog posts this late at night so I can get better lighting for my photos!
